In Roubaix, in the North, very talented young pianists from all over the world take part in the 3rd edition of the Étoiles du Piano. Among the pianists, Van, from Vietnam, who impresses.

Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven and so many others no longer hold any secrets for Van Ho Khan, a Vietnamese pianist under 19. The young woman had to leave her native country in order to develop her talents in Europe, especially in Hungary and Germany. She is now in France, as part of the Étoiles du Piano. “I arrived in Europe not so long ago. Going from an amateur or semi-professional in Vietnam to a professional in Europe is a huge change for me”, says Van Ho Khan.

Accompanied by her mother, Van Ho Khan is staying with a host family, who benefits from her talents for hours every day. “I am only a modest pianist myself, but I am quite stunned and dazzled by his technique and his remarkable musicality”, says Marc Berthouart, host and music lover. Her presence and ease impress on stage, as she competes with 30 other pianists from the best conservatories in the world. The winner of the competition will benefit from special support for two years.
