Fans from as far away as New Brunswick lined up for hours in front of Jean Coutu in Rivière-du-Loup to meet and experience a unique moment with their lifelong idol Ginette Reno.

Autobiography, albums and magazines in hand, some arrived around 7 a.m. to have their articles signed and to take a photo with the great lady of the song during a session scheduled between 10 and 11 a.m.
“We didn’t want to miss this opportunity and the main thing is to meet her,” laughs Suzanne Lemieux, referring to the popular song by Ginette Reno.
Ms. Lemieux was accompanied by her friend Francine Thibault, who was thrilled with joy at the idea of meeting the woman who is celebrating her 60-year career.
“She’s such a great lady, she’s humble, we adore her,” says Ms. Thibault with great admiration.

A dream
While nearly 200 people were outside in the queue, Ginette Reno multiplied the smiles inside the business, very generous with her time.
“For me, she’s a life coach, that’s how great she is, says Valérie Chouinard. It’s a little girl’s dream to meet her in person and it’s the first time. »
La Loupervoise even had a small gift to give to the legend of Quebec song.

Valérie Chouinard bought a CD and a magazine to have them signed by Ginette Reno, who for her is a model of perseverance.
Michel Carrier, manager of the pharmacy, also had the chance to chat with the singer before the start of the signing session.
“She is super nice and very simple, we just have good comments. It’s a success and the weather is on our side as well,” notes the manager, looking at the sun which was shining over the town of 20,000 inhabitants.
He adds that it is a gift that the Rivière-du-Loup business wanted to offer to the people of the region who may not have had the opportunity to see the great singer as much as the citizens of the major centers.

Ginette on tour
Ginette Reno began a tour of several cities in Quebec this week to promote her autobiography and her most recent album.
Branches were selected across the Jean Coutu network and franchisees had the choice of whether or not to accept the proposal.
Yesterday, the singer was in Sainte-Marie in Beauce where she met 150 people, confirms the security manager who will follow her in each of the cities visited.
“Today in Rivière-du-Loup, there are a lot of people […] Ms. Reno may want to extend the session, it is her who decides, but it is exhausting for her, ”he admits.
Ginette Reno was spending the weekend in Bas-Saint-Laurent. Tomorrow, she will be in Rimouski to meet her fans before heading to Blainville on Thursday and Laval the following week.
The legend will also be in Charlevoix at La Malbaie on June 11 and in Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré on June 14.
