The funeral of Lola, killed ten days ago, took place in the afternoon of Monday, October 24 in Lilles (Pas-de-Calais). Outside the church where the ceremony was held, for the few hundred people who were unable to enter, the ceremony was broadcast over loudspeakers in the forecourt. When Lola’s brother spoke, in tears, the emotion was intense in the crowd.

“My Lola, my beloved little sister, I hope you can hear me from up there. Unfortunately, you left much too soon”, testified his brother. A big brother’s words and heartbreak that shook the crowd. Lola’s parents had asked that the ceremony take place with respect and dignity. At the end of the afternoon, the girl was buried in the cemetery of the village of Lillers, in complete privacy.
