The funeral of former CAQ minister Nadine Girault, who died of lung cancer on February 12, will be celebrated on March 3 and 4 in Laval.

The public will first have the opportunity to offer their condolences to family and loved ones on Friday, March 3 at Les Espaces Memoria funeral home, between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m.
The next day, a private ceremony will be held at the same place at 2 p.m., the Quebec government said on Wednesday.
“Anyone who had the chance to know Nadine knows what an exceptional woman she was. She was a role model for many women, first in business and then in politics. I want to send my most sincere condolences to her husband, Alain, to her family and loved ones. We will never forget you, Nadine,” commented Prime Minister François Legault.
Member of Parliament for Bertrand from 2018 to 2022, Ms. Girault was Minister of International Relations and La Francophonie as well as Minister responsible for the Laurentians region in the government of the Coalition Avenir Québec. She also served as Minister of Immigration, Francisation and Integration.
Members of the public who wish to pay tribute to him are invited to make a donation to the Laurentides and Pays-d’en-Haut Medical Foundation.
