The French biathletes unfortunately failed to imitate their male counterparts, silver medalists the day before. They have finished in sixth place of the 4x6km relay this Wednesday, in Zhangjiakou, the Nordic skiing site of the Beijing Olympics. The Jurassian Anaïs Bescond, the Iséroise Anaïs Chevalier-Bouchet and the Savoyards Justine Braisaz-Bouchet and Julia Simon did not manage to stay on the skis of the best.
The Swedish biathletes, led by Linn Persson and Hanna Oeberg became Olympic champions. The silver medal returned to Russia, under neutral flag due to several doping scandals, failing to a big ten seconds of gold, while Germany won the bronze medal. Norway for its part finished at the foot of the podium.
