Les Bleues want to gain confidence before attacking the final stages and hope to play, for the sixth consecutive time, the final of the Euro basketball on June 25th. After winning in pain against Germany in the first round (58-50), the French team finds Great Britain in the group stage, Friday June 16, in Ljubljana (Slovenia). Opposed to the British during a friendly meeting on June 10, the Blues had been able to probe the opposing strengths and weaknesses.

But the friendly meeting had quickly turned into a demonstration of the tricolor clan (76-54), concluding its faultless during the preparation matches (5 victories). Despite the absence of two of its leaders (Marine Johannès and Gabby Williams), the vice-champions of Europe will be favorites against a nation which has never yet reached the final of the competition (4th in 2019, its best result).
