France continues its almost perfect run in its very first World Cup. Raphaël Reynaud’s Blues won in the quarter-final of the competition, Monday September 30, against Paraguay (2-1) in a close match and qualified for the last four of the tournament. France will face the winner of the match between Kazakhstan and Argentina.
If the French team showed its superiority in the first period, it did not manage to break the Paraguayan lock. The Blues took the lead after the break thanks to a sublime goal from Ouassini Guirio. Francisco Martinez put Paraguay back on track a few minutes later. And it is finally Abdessamad Mohammed who offers the Blues qualification six minutes from the end of the match.
