The players and management of the French team observed a minute of silence in tribute to the victims of the attacks of November 13, 2015, Monday, before their training in Clairefontaine, in front of the journalists present.
In a circle in front of the castle, their residence at the training center, they respected this minute of silence by holding each other’s shoulders. Their security officer, Commander Mohamed Sanhadji, already in office in 2015, spoke: “I spoke to them about the solemnity of this moment, the values of the Republic, and I reminded them that our country had been attacked that day.”
A victim at the Stade de France in 2015
Like Mohmaed Sanhadji, coach Didier Deschamps, but also Antoine Griezmann, Olivier Giroud and Kingsley Coman were present at the Stade de France on November 13, 2015, when three terrorists detonated their explosive belts near the pregnant, while the Blues faced Germany there. One man lost his life, out of a total of 130 victims that evening in Paris.
After this tribute, the France team trained, a few days before the match against Gibraltar, Saturday in Nice. The Blues will then challenge Greece in Athens on November 21. Two qualifying matches for Euro-2024, for which the Blues already have their ticket.
