A false note to end on. Already qualified for the quarter-finals after their victory against Great Britain, the French missed their “final” of Group C, against Fiji, Saturday March 2. On the pitch in Los Angeles, the French rugby sevens team had started their last group match well, in the wake of Antoine Dupont, a lively starter.
