The image of pharmaceutical companies has improved since the pandemic, according to a survey published on Wednesday, December 8, despite resistance to vaccines against Covid-19. This opinion poll carried out by Ipsos for the drug company loby concludes that 41% of the general public now have a favorable opinion of the sector. In addition, 60% of respondents believe that drug companies have been effective in managing the health crisis (against 84% among general practitioners).

The Covid-19 vaccine collects slightly lower levels of confidence than vaccines in general: with 71% confidence for the general public, of which only 18% who say they have “very confident”. The debates around the vaccine against the Covid-19 “did not mar (…) confidence in vaccination in the broad sense, which even comes out strengthened”, points out the poll. It thus reaches an unprecedented level, specifies this survey, with 80% of the general public saying they are confident and 100% or almost health professionals.
