Thanks to the abnormally mild temperatures, many French and foreign tourists were able to enjoy the beach and the sun in the middle of autumn.

Hot sun and mild temperatures. In Nice (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur), swimsuits and parasols were a must during the two-week All Saints’ Day holiday. The terraces and restaurants were full. Tourists take advantage and do not return: “It’s incredible, that’s why we come here. We love the color of the water. At this time, the Côte d’Azur is the best destination.” The first week of the holidays reached a record attendance, between 80 and 90%.

On the Atlantic coast too, the beach has filled up. Something to delight traders: “Lots of beach items for children, a bit of clothing and a lot of swimsuits again.” Still on the coast, a little further north, tourists came with their families and often at the last minute. With the gasoline shortage, the All Saints holidays had started rather badly. At the time of the assessment, the coastal professionals say they are finally satisfied and are already preparing for the next vacation.
