The conflict is in full swing in Lebanon, where French nationals are organizing to leave the country. Some have been able to benefit from flights to Paris, while others are forced to opt for the boat, which is more expensive and less direct.

Between relief and heartbreak, a Lebanese living in France and his French partner leave war-torn Lebanon, leaving their loved ones behind. The couple are forced to travel on a yacht with other passengers, their only solution to leaving the bombed-out country. Their return flight to Paris was canceled on Wednesday. Each of the ten passengers on the boat had to pay 2,000 euros to get to Cyprus. “We may stay a few days in Cyprus while we find a flight that fits our finances”confides Laura, the partner of the Lebanese national.

They leave behind them a Lebanon stormed by Israeli bombs. Thursday, October 3, a new strike by the Israeli army fell on the southern suburbs of Beirut, after an attack on the city center. At Beirut airport, several countries are organizing the evacuation of their nationals. At the request of France, the Lebanese national company added two additional flights this Thursday to Paris. Some 200 places have been reserved for vulnerable people.
