That was the goal and the France Classic team won the title of world champion for the third time in a row in Bermuda. Les Bleus beat Argentina 21-20 in the final on Friday morning.
This team, trained by ex-uspiste Jean-Philippe Grandclaude (supported by Didier Chouchan, Nicolas Datas and Richard Lebergueries) is made up of young retirees from professional rugby and reinforced by a few amateur players, notably playing in the Pyrénées-Orientales.
We find the former players of the USAP champions 2009: Damien Chouly and Ovidiu Tonita but also Boris Béthéry (Bordeaux, Dax), Laurent-Balluc-Rittener (Narbonne, Albi), Florian Faure (Castres, Grenoble), Arnaud Mignardi (Clermont , Brive), Floriand Denos (Bourgoin, Oyonnax) and many more.
This selection made up for a few years competes this tournament as well in the conviviality as the rigor. The objective was indeed to retain this title. It’s done.
