The Limoges public prosecutor’s office confirmed Thursday June 6 to France Bleu Limousin the extradition and incarceration, in France, in Perpignan (Pyrénées-Orientales), of Sébastien Buisson, founder of the Nez Rouges association. A European arrest warrant had been issued against him and he was arrested in Spain last April.
Sébastien Buisson was sentenced, on appeal last April, to 42 months in prison for the embezzlement of 243,000 euros to the detriment of the association he chaired. The money was to be used to support and entertain hospitalized children. He had squandered it on nightclubs, hotels and shopping sprees. He ended up admitting the facts in September 2023 through his lawyer.
Sébastien Buisson also tried to bribe a man posing as a magistrate in order to have cases in which he is suspected of being involved closed.
