Located in the Montcalm district, the property erected at the beginning of the 20e century has been very well maintained by the owners who succeeded the politician. As part of the sale, it is the upper floor, now considered a condo, which was put on the market twenty days ago, with a price set at $799,000.

“In this house, built in 1922 when the Montcalm district was being developed, lived from 1958 to 1972 Jean Lesage, lawyer and politician […] recalls a municipal commemorative plaque installed on the walls of the residence. The sales sheet, however, lists the date of 1925 as the official year of construction.

We could not actually prevent it, but the brokers want to be reassuring. “People who buy in this sector often love the neighborhood and these properties. I think sellers would like it to be respected for its cachet,” says Mr. Turgeon.

The exterior assets are also noteworthy, with a lovely sun terrace set on the eaves and an English garden which has already won an award. “The Montcalm district is a stone’s throw from the Plains of Abraham, it’s a very sought-after area,” boasts the broker.
