Pushed towards the exit of the French Football Federation, Noël Le Graët presented his resignation, Tuesday, February 28, before filing a complaint against the Minister of Sports, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra.
End of a reign at the head of French football. After an investigation for sexual and moral harassment, Noël Le Graët has decided to present his resignation to the Executive Committee of the French Football Federation. Some of its members pay tribute to him, such as Vincent Labrune, president of the Professional Football League: “We cannot take away from President Le Graët his record for twelve years at the head of the federation. There were blunders, in language in particular, and certainly in behavior. He will defend his honor.”
Le Graët files a complaint against Amélie Oudéa-Castéra
Noël Le Graët’s lawyer, Thierry Marembert, has announced that he will file a complaint for defamation against Amélie Oudéa-Castéra. “In the report, there is the following sentence: ‘We did not find any messages, a vocabulary containing no terms of a sexual nature.’ That’s what the report says”paralleling the remarks of the Minister of Sports affirming the opposite.
