On May 30, Sonia Rolland, Miss France 2000, was indictment by a Parisian investigating judge for concealment of embezzlement of public funds, corruption and abuse of corporate assets as indicated The Parisian. As a reminder, in 2003, Sonia Rolland became the proud owner of an apartment in the 16th district of Paris worth just over 640,000 euros according to investigators. Here she is, therefore, associated with the affair of the “ill-gotten gains” of the former president of Gabon in which 4 of his 54 children are suspected of having benefited from a more than doubtful heritage.
“We must beware of judging with today’s knowledge of the facts of 2003. My client was 22 years old, she was coming out of a period when she was projected into a universe of which she knew nothing”had entrusted his lawyer, Me Charles Morel, still at the Parisian. Before adding that“At no time was she aware of the origin of the funds, nor of the financial arrangement, she trusted the notary completely. Sonia Rolland is calm and has no doubt that she will be exonerated at the end instruction”.
The ex of Jalil Lespert is therefore rather serene for the outcome of this case. Especially since she revealed in her last story published this Friday, June 3, that she was taking a big decisiongetting back to work. “Back to work”, she commented on a video in which she is on a plane. To be continued…
