the former driver of Johnny Hallyday, Patrick Roussel faces the anger of Laeticia Hallyday live in TPMP

It’s been nearly six years since Johnny Hallyday died after a long battle with illness. While the famous rocker would have been 80 years old this Thursday, June 15, 2023, a new book is about to see the light of day. Former driver and bodyguard of Johnny Hallyday between 1999 and 2015, Patrick Roussel indeed publishes a book entitled “Everyone called him Johnny” in which he looks back on these many years spent alongside Johnny Hallyday.

Invited on the set of “Touche pas à mon poste” this Tuesday, June 13, 2023, the author revealed some anecdotes about his profession. Patrick Roussel thus revealed that Johnny Hallyday had bought him a house. “The salary wasn’t that big, but there were benefits in kind. For example, he had a house in Los Angeles for me to live in. So I was living in a house he bought for me. ” he said, assuring that he earned less than 5000€ per month.

Patrick Roussel was then questioned about his relationship with Laeticia Hallyday who, as Valérie Benaïm recalled, would take the release of this book very badly. “She takes it for attacks but I’m just telling my truth” then chanted the former driver of Johnny Hallyday. Passing through the set of the program “Télématin”, he had also assured “to have no problem with Laeticia Hallyday”.

Patrick Roussel nevertheless explains that he was disappointed not to have been invited to the funeral of Johnny Hallyday but prefers to take it as a simple oversight of the family. Finally, in his book, he evokes the war between Laeticia Hallyday and Laura Smet for the legacy of the rocker and makes a confession on a sentence that Laura Smet would have said to him concerning this war linked to the will.
