Two winners had ticked the right numbers, in Dordogne and Loire-Atlantique. Only the winner from Dordogne showed up. The winner of Loire-Atlantique had validated his ticket in the region of Nantes. He had 60 days to come forward, very precisely until April 15, 11:59 p.m. Ten days before this date, the Française des Jeux had activated, as it systematically does in these cases, a communication plan in the press and on social networks, in vain.
Big winners who don’t show up are rare
The proportion of big winners who do not show up is very low. La Française des Jeux has a millionaire every two days. Last year, only two million-euro winners failed to show up. This year, in January, another winner, at one million euros, had not claimed his winnings.
A campaign on YouTube
The gain of six million euros unclaimed in Loire-Atlantique is put into play this Friday. On this occasion, the FDJ installed, in Paris, place des Victoires, a 120 m² posterand also communicates on YouTube and social networks.
