The Flyings in Alençon.

Mélissa Von Vépy of the Compagnie Happés which stages the Flyings talks about a unique show at the crossroads of disciplines which brings together 5 very complete artists on stage. They are both aerial acrobats, but also dancers and actors. It is the transposition of a small troop of flying trapeze artists who evolves at ground level to tell the feeling of absurdity which wins them little by little.

Mélissa was originally trained as a trapeze artist, and she finds a philosophical dimension in this art which is part of a scale of verticality which allows a whole host of human feelings to be deployed.

The swinging motion of the trapeze and the 2 platforms like rafts is a great place to talk about absurdity. And it goes through a whole series of universal questions and little by little we move towards letting go. we must therefore abandon ourselves and let ourselves be carried away in this daydream, that is to say to be able to share this form of letting go with the artists who are on stage.
