The Quebec flag flying on Parliament Hill in Quebec City will be lowered to mark the departure of Mike Bossy.

“In tribute to Mike Bossy, the flag on the main tower of the Parliament Building will be lowered to half-mast on Thursday,” Prime Minister François Legault confirmed on Twitter on Tuesday.
This tribute will coincide with the last farewell to Bossy. Members of the public will be able to go to the Complexe Funéraire Goyer, in Sainte-Thérèse, on Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., as well as Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Bossy passed away on April 15 from lung cancer. He died with his relatives at the age of 65.
The former New York Islanders color holder totaled 573 goals and 1,126 points in 752 career games, winning four Stanley Cups in the process.
