In a video that has gone viral on TikTok Julie Waters, Julie Waters shows off the clothes for a week that she managed to fold and store in a fishing jacket, bought in a sports store when she has never fished from her life.

She is then seen walking through the airport, going through security and entering the plane, without being told anything. She was afraid that the airline, Spirit, a low-cost company that charges for everything, even the printing of the ticket at the terminal, would make a remark to her. In order not to have to spend an unnecessary amount for her bag during a Los Angeles-Dallas flight, Julie Waters therefore had this idea.
However, she admits that she was traveling for pleasure and that it could have been difficult to slip a suit into one of the pockets. She also specifies that she is small so her clothes take up less space than for others and that the clothes stored in the pocket at the bottom of the back bothered her a little when sitting down.
The fishing vest authorized by the companies
In theory, airlines can ban you from boarding if you are wearing clothing deemed obscene or offensive. The fishing jacket and its pockets are not part of this list. 18% inflation on flights in one year
These little tricks are multiplying in the face of the ever-increasing price of flights. According to the US Department of Labor, flight prices are rising faster than inflation, 18% between March 2022 and March 2023. Companies are trying to recover from the pandemic, which would have cost them 200 billion dollars.

Staff shortages and rising fuel prices are not helping matters. And of course, it is the passengers who pay the difference. A study by the JD Power firm of more than 7,000 travelers concluded that there was a clear drop in the satisfaction rate, except for first class and business class passengers. Maybe because they usually don’t have to pay for extra baggage.
