His very first album, the obscure All Lights Fucked on the Hairy Amp Drooling, is finally distributed on the online music platform Bandcamp. Only 33 copies of the cassette had been released when it was released in 1994.

The songs’ legal release comes after they leaked to the anonymous 4chan forum and then to YouTube in recent weeks. Two of them escaped in 2013, recalls the specialized site Stereogum. Some believed until then that the first work of the legendary Quebec band was in fact f♯ a♯ ∞published in 1997.

Constellation Records and the band owned the recordings of the inaugural demo, but had never seen fit to publish them.

The musician Efrim Manuel Menuck, co-founder of GY! BE, explains in a comment on Bandcamp that the 27 new songs he released on Monday “have nothing to do with the training that followed”. He single-handedly recorded the majority of the tracks in 2013, while sidekick Mauro Pezzente slapped on “a bit of bass.”

The profits from the sale ofAll Lights Fucked on the Hairy Amp Drooling will be used to finance medical oxygen equipment in the Gaza Strip.

GY! BE released their seventh “official” studio album, G_d’s Pee at State’s End!in April 2021.
