The fire is “henceforth fixed”. The sub-prefect of Arcachon, Ronan Leaustic, announced on Sunday August 14 that the “Landiras-2” fire, which had ravaged the south of the department for five days, was under control. In total, 7,400 hectares of forest went up in smoke.
