The flames and a huge cloud of smoke invaded the Lagune beach in La Teste-de-Buch (Gironde), Sunday July 17. From the boats, vacationers film the forest burning before their eyes. Flames several meters high are concealed by smoke. Suddenly, several Canadairs come to refuel, only a few meters from the swimmers. In an attempt to stop the fire, the planes sink into the black smoke. They have to face a wall of fire, which progresses very quickly.

The fire at La Teste-de-Buch (Gironde) resumed its progress in the afternoon. “The fire jumped the departmental road, arrived in five minutes, and while the wind was contrary, suddenly began to descend towards the South. Firefighters fought all night against the flames.
