The finalists for the ÉquiLibre Prize are…

The organization ÉquiLibre, dedicated to promoting a positive body image, revealed on Monday the five finalists of the 14e edition of its ÉquiLibre Prize, inviting Quebecers to vote for their favorite initiative.


This year’s finalists are: the Instagram account @jessbrod_fit, hosted by Jessica Brodeur, which challenges the one-size-fits-all model of beauty and encourages people to move for fun; the exhibition Fat. se, produced by photographer Marion Desjardins, who focused her lens on fatphobia; the book Growing up without fatphobia, by Edith Bernier, a tool to promote a healthy body image in children; the inclusive clothing brand Mimi & August, designed by Camille Forcherio and João Crisostomo; and the web series Love Handles, produced by Urbania and directed by Carmen Rachiteanu, which highlights testimonies and experiences of fat people.
