It was a daring bet for the director, to make a film inspired by the daily life of local elected officials. “When we met the mayors there was a fabric of stories, characters, conflicts (…), the mayor and his teams are on the front line with the citizens”testifies Thomas Kruithof.
Among the problems encountered by mayors is substandard housing. This is a recurring theme in the estates on the outskirts of Paris. In Ris-Orangis (Essonne), during a preview, the film crew was able to talk about it with the inhabitants of these districts. This political thriller will find a particular echo in this election year.
