The Festive! at School | Eleven renowned artists visit 38 schools in Quebec

The Festif team! de Baie-Saint-Paul is pursuing more than ever its mission of promoting French-language song, this time extending its Le Festif tour! at the School in 38 schools in seven regions of Quebec, giving young people the chance to see in their schools some of the most prominent artists of the Quebec music scene.

From November 2021 until April 2022, Louis-Jean Cormier, Marie-Pierre Arthur, Émile Bilodeau, Sara Dufour, Alaclair Ensemble, Clay and Friends, Marie-Gold, Comment Debord, Les Deuxluxes, Philippe Brach and Qualité Motel will in fact visit 38 schools in Côte-Nord, Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean, Gaspésie, Quebec, Charlevoix, Lanaudière and the Laurentians.

Each artist will perform in a specific region, where they will take the opportunity to give a short show in addition to offering writing workshops in music classes. The artists will also go to the other classes of each establishment visited, promoting meetings and exchanges with students – with due regard for the health measures in force, we would like to specify in the press release. We hope to familiarize students with local music in addition to making them aware of the profession of singer-songwriter.

Created in 2018, Le Festif! at the School had visited only one school at that time. The organization of the Baie-Saint-Paul festival has since forged links with other regional festivals to create a true Quebec tour. This is particularly the case with the Festival La Noce, in Saguenay, the Festival en Chanson de Petite-Vallée, in Gaspésie, the Big Bang Fest in Val-David in the Laurentians, the Festival de la Chanson de Tadoussac, Le Pantoum in Québec, the Mémoires et Racines Festival in Lanaudière and the Santa Teresa Festival in the Lower Laurentians.
