The French movie The Five Devils by Léa Mysius will close the 51e edition of the Festival du nouveau cinema de Montréal (FNC) this fall.

Presented at the Directors’ Fortnight of the Cannes Film Festival last May, the fantastic comedy will be screened at the Imperial Cinema on October 15. Worn by Adèle Exarchopoulos and Sally Dramé, The Five Devils paints the portrait of Vicky, a little girl who has an exceptional gift and who has an unconditional love for her mother.
The FNC will be held from October 5 to 16. Other feature films that can be seen there were unveiled on Tuesday. Among them, let us point out Women Talking by Canadian actress and director Sarah Polley. This is an adaptation of the novel what they say by Miraim Toews, with Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Frances McDormand and Ben Wishaw. It follows a group of women who unite to face a series of sexual assaults committed by the men of their religious colony.
Continental Drift by Lionel Baier, with Théodore Pellerin and Isabelle Carré, the coyote by Katherine Jerkovic, Phi 1618 by Theodore Ushev, and Before I Change My Mind of Trevor Anderson also compose the program of the appointment.
