The FEQ postpones the Cowboys Fringants and Robert Charlebois shows to Monday

The highly anticipated shows of the Cowboys Fringants and Robert Charlebois at the Festival d’été de Québec will finally take place on Monday.

The powerful storm that swept over Quebec on Thursday forced the organizers to reorganize their evening programming, then to cancel that of the Cowboys Fringants. Robert Charlebois had just performed on the same outdoor stage.

The group tried to sing an a capella song, but an evacuation message immediately sounded.

In the end, it will only be a postponement: Sara Dufour will perform at 7 p.m., before veteran Robert Charlebois returns to the stage at 8 p.m.

The Cowboys Fringants will be able to offer their concert as planned at 9:30 p.m.

Several admirers were impatiently awaiting this show from the Quebec group, because the members of the group had to cancel the show they were to present on Tuesday at the Festirame in Alma, Lac-Saint-Jean.

This absence was due to the treatments that must undergo the singer, Karl Tremblay, who has been fighting for several months against prostate cancer.

In a long message relayed on social networks, the companion of the singer and member of the group Marie-Annick Lépine had explained that this was the first show that the group had to cancel.

“We would have really liked to be with you tonight. Unfortunately, that is impossible,” she wrote on Tuesday.

After the cancellation of the show in Quebec, she went further by saying that she did not know what to say “except that we are really disappointed”.
