The Mayor of the City of Montreal, Valérie Plante, provides an update on armed violence in the metropolis, Wednesday afternoon.
“We avoided the worst,” said the mayor, saying he was not injured.
At a press conference, the mayor wanted to confirm that Montreal is still a safe city, despite the two murders in the space of 30 minutes.
“Is Montreal safe? Yes. However, his sense of security is affected,” says Valérie Plante.
“Montreal is not going to become the playground of criminals,” said the mayor of Montreal, Valérie Plante, in a press briefing on Wednesday.
