The results of the first round of the presidential election fell on Sunday April 10, 2022, at 8 p.m.… Verdict? As in 2017, Emmanuel Macron comes first (27.60%), ahead of Marine Le Pen (23.41%). A victory that the two political figures celebrated each on their side.
Indeed, around 8:30 p.m., Marine Le Pen gave her rallying speech live from her campaign headquarters, in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. The far-right candidate notably called for the “gathering of French people around the millennial idea of France”, saying that she was “free from partisan ties during this campaign” and promising that she would be “the president of all French people, without any exclusivity”.
A victory that Marine Le Pen is beginning to glimpse and which scares some of the French people who do not want to live in a country governed by extremes!
Presidential election: Simon Porte Jacquemus reacts on Instagram
On Instagram, several public figures did not fail to react to the results of the first round. This is the case of fashion designer Simon Porte Jacquemus! The 32-year-old man has indeed shared a snapshot of Marine Le Pen via his Instagram story… A publication which is not at all a display of support for the candidate of the National Rally, far from it! And for good reason, the French stylist captioned his post with an emoji… throwing up!
Simon Porte Jacquemus is not the only stylist to have reacted! Olivier Rousteing did not hesitate to share a photo of Emmanuel Macron on his Instagram feed! A snapshot that Kim Kardashian’s best friend captioned: “This photo is the portrait of the man, who I wish to be our president for our future years. The man who will carry our country to splendor and not fear. I am not here to impose a political choice, but to remind that unity is strength and not division. I don’t want to live in a country ruled by extremes.”
