“The fantasy” of Jean-François Cros, go in search of the truth!

After the success of his first play, “Yesterday is another day”, which earned him a nomination for the Molière of ComedyJean-François Cros wrote a new comedy.

Initially, this question: how far are we fooled by our fantasies, of our beliefs? Because it is sometimes easier, more reassuring, to take refuge in an imaginary world. No worries as long as we know the edges.

And therein lies the difficulty! And that’s where Jean-François Cros left to write his play. With Caroline and Guillaume, he wants to take the viewer in search of this truth and have fun making her believe that he has finally apprehended her. “But the more the truth becomes clear, the closer we get to it… The further it goes”.

Guillaume, a fashionable writer, shares his life with Caroline. They form a balanced and harmonious couple. When Caroline comes across her latest novel, Le Fantasme, she cannot refrain from questioning. What drives Guillaume to write the story of a fifty-something obsessed with a young 20-year-old? Is it fiction, reality, both? Where is the truth ?
