the famous Belgian actress reveals that she has a rare cancer

The month of October is a month which is globally dedicated to the fight against breast cancer. There are therefore numerous awareness campaigns to remind women that it is necessary to perform self-examination or to go for screening regularly. In this month of struggle, a famous Belgian actress decided to speak out to announce that she was affected by cancer.

This is Émilie Dequenne, revealed in 1999 thanks to her role in the film Rosette by the Dardenne brothers and seen more recently in the feature film Goodbye up there by director Albert Dupontel.

“These last three months. I should have posted you happy images and stories from numerous shoots… Since mid-July, I was in Belgium and I was supposed to do 4 great projects there. Unfortunately, I was unable to do so. only shoot one, start a second and I stopped there” she said.

“Since mid-August when I underwent a major emergency operation, today I continue to treat myself, it is not easy every day but I am determined to defeat this rare cancer which has decided to disrupt my life. I won’t let it happen. Believe me!” then explained the actress who is a mother of two children.

The one who has been married to actor Michel Ferracci since 2014 then explains that she will have to be absent from the sets, promotions and previews for some time. Her fans will, however, be able to find her on November 1st at the cinema in the film “Complément cramé” by Gilles Legardinier.
