Digital is fantastic… if you dare to take a critical look at it. This is precisely what the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ) is proposing to do as part of its Digital Rendezvous, which will be held from November 2 to 7.
Through eight conferences and free activities on the theme “Humans behind the screen”, academics and specialists in the virtual world will discuss the possibilities offered by new technologies in our daily lives (for example, in the context of the smart home, with neuropsychologist Maxime Lussier), while scrutinizing social networks, the question of digital inequality, or the place occupied by screens in the lives of our children.
Presentations and activities for the youngest are also on the program, such as the “Digital self-defense” workshop or the “The code against cyberbullying” lab.
