The eye of the storm inspires a Christmas movie

The adventures of the Gagnon sisters will be brought to the big screen: KOTV announced Thursday the start of filming on a Christmas film inspired by the TV series The eye of the storm and which will bear a fitting title: The Christmas cyclone.

Filming for this feature film will begin on April 14 and continue until May 7. Directed by Alain Chicoine, the film will be released on November 8, in time, therefore, for the festivities period. It will then be available in the VÉRO.TV section of ICI TOU.TV EXTRA.

The cast includes many of the actors from the popular Radio-Canada Télé series, starting with Christine Beaulieu and Véronique Cloutier, who play sisters Isabelle and Éliane Gagnon. Patrick Hivon, Catherine Souffront, Danielle Proulx, Luc Senay, Emi Chicoine, Juliette Aubé and Joey Bélanger will also reprise their roles.

In a press release, Les Films Opale, Les Productions KOTV and Radio-Canada presented the scenario:

“Isabelle Gagnon (Christine Beaulieu) firmly believes in the magic of Christmas: the recipes, the exchange of gifts, the naughty elves and the traditional family photos… Her preparations begin the day after Halloween! But this year, everything seems to be stacked against her. Everyone has other plans and, in these times of blended families, Isabelle will have to pedal very hard to keep her gang around her at Christmas. »
