More than a year after the disappearance of Delphine Jubillar, the army has been called in to carry out new excavations around a farm. This is the place that Cédric Jubillar would have mentioned to one of his fellow prisoners.

Since Monday January 17, in Cagnac-les-Mines (Tarn), the gendarmes have been blocking a small road which leads to a farm where the investigators are active. The excavations to find the body of Delphine Jubillar have resumed. Assisted by soldiers specialized in this type of research, the gendarmes inspect in particular the surroundings of a charred agricultural building, less than two kilometers from the family home. To his new companion, as well as to one of his cell neighbors, Cédric Jubillar, imprisoned in a Toulouse prison for seven months, would have confided to having buried his wife behind the building.

But this farm has already been searched without result, so even on the side of the nurse’s family, we remain very careful. “The investigators are obliged to do this research. My position is that Cédric Jubillar is above all a manipulator”, says Philippe Pressecq, lawyer for the cousin of Delphine Jubillar. Before the judge, Cédric Jubillar has always denied his involvement in the disappearance of his wife. The man is to be heard again on February 11. His lawyers doubt that he actually confessed to the crime to another inmate. The excavations could last several days, even several weeks, because according to the gendarmes, the ground is particularly steep.
