After hesitating, Guillaume Peltier, ex-LR who rallied Eric Zemmour to the presidential election, announced on Friday May 20 that he would stand in the legislative elections for Reconquest! in his constituency of Loir-et-Cher.

“While the composition of the new government illustrates yet another bonus for careerists and opportunists, I want to demonstrate that there are still politicians who love convictions”said the outgoing deputy of this department in an interview with the Figaro (article reserved for subscribers).
“At a time when, so courageously, Eric Zemmour is committing himself to the campaign, when nearly 1,600 of ours, candidates, substitutes and representatives, are committing to wear our colors, I too could not , that lead by example”explained Guillaume Peltier, who is running in the 2nd constituency.
He will face him an LR candidate, Pascal Bioulac, whom party president Christian Jacob came to support on Thursday during a public meeting, as well as an RN candidate, Roger Chudeau, a former LR supporter of François Fillon.
Marine Le Pen came out on top in the first round of presidential elections in this constituency with 31.3% of the vote, ahead of Emmanuel Macron (26.8%), Jean-Luc Mélenchon (14.4%), and Eric Zemmour ( 8%). Marine Le Pen was also slightly ahead of Emmanuel Macron in the second round with 50.9% of the vote.
