For several years, Jeremy Michalak has drawn a line under his television career. The forty-year-old continues his career as a producer; after selling La Grosse Équipe to Arthur in 2019 for more than six million euros (which he shared with his two partners Thibaud Valès and Alexandre Dos Santos), the businessman became independent again, and notably produced the documentary Starting point: in the footsteps of the hippies for France 5, and Laughter on the airwaves for Canal+. Jérémy Michalak is also very present in the USA, where he tries to develop new concepts.
In 2012, the young man, then aged 34, gained a little notoriety by being chosen by Catherine Barma and Laurent Ruquier to succeed the latter as entertainment host. We just want to laugh about it. For a season, the host gave the floor to Michèle Bernier, Jean-Marie Bigard, Isabelle Mergault and Jean Benguigui, who noted the performances of comedians who have since become immensely famous, such as Jérémy Ferrari, Olivier de Benoist, Ahmed Sylla, Kevin Razy, Constance, Nicole Ferroni, Arnaud Tsamère, Florent Peyre and Zidani. But after just one season, France 2 decided not to bring him back to host season 4, then entrusted to Bruno Guillon. The format is redesigned, with a new jury, notably composed of Stéphanie Bataille, but the sauce does not work. The show ONDAR was definitively stopped in July 2014.
