the Eure prefecture “condemns” the blocking of the A13 by environmental activists

The Eure prefecture indicates on Sunday May 7 that a demonstration is underway on the A13 motorway near Louviers and asks to avoid the sector. Several associations, including Les Uprisings of the Earth and Non à l’autoroute (NALA) in particular, have planned to mobilize all weekend against the eastern Rouen bypass project. The prefect of Eure “condemns this undeclared demonstration and this action of which the State services have at no time been notified, and which endangers road users.”

The Uprisings of the Earth association posted photos on its Twitter account on Sunday afternoon showing activists setting up barricades across the highway: “After crossing the forest of Bord then the national, the demonstrators equipped themselves with sticks and took over the motorway to contest the project of the future A133 – A134”, she wrote on the social network. The prefecture indicates that traffic is also blocked on the departmental D6015 between Pont de l’Arche and Le Vaudreuil.
