Alexia Huchet works up to 14 hours a day. This Monday, February 12 in Mougins (Alpes-Maritimes), the day is busy. The liberal nurse can drive between 70 and 80 km per day. “I had to equip myself with an electric vehicle, which is also expensive. But gasoline has become unbelievable”, she comments. Denise is one of his patients. At 91 years old, she has difficulty moving around and taking care of her takes time. Alexia Huchet works a lot, but has not observed any change in the remuneration for her actions since 2009.
50 to 70 hours of work per week
“People are precarious, have no money, and we lose money. I carry out interventions at a loss”, she assures. The visits continue at a brisk pace, but the nurse no longer has the courage. She claims to earn 2,500 euros net per month, for 50 to 70 hours of work per week. Having been a freelancer for seven years, she is thinking of changing careers.
