Galit is French-Israeli. Her daughter, Noya, 12, and her mother, Carmela, 80, were both kidnapped by Hamas terrorists while on a kibbutz near the Gaza Strip. Helpless, she waits for news from her loved ones while the conflict continues.
It has now been a week since Hamas launched an attack against Israel. At least 1,300 people, mostly civilians, were killed in Israel according to a report on Friday October 13, 2023. 2,215 deaths were recorded in Gaza, including 724 children.
While the conflict does not lose intensity, the teams of “1:15 p.m. on Saturday” (X, #1:15 p.m.) went to Israel to meet families whose lives were turned upside down by this war. This is the case of Galit, a Franco-Israeli woman, whose daughter and mother were kidnapped by Hamas.
“I’m doing everything I can to save her.”
Like many Israelis, Galit has lost loved ones since Hamas’s attack on Israel. Her daughter Noya, 12, and her mother Carmela, 80, were kidnapped. They were in a kibbutz, an agricultural community near the Gaza Strip, when the terrorists burst in. By telephone, she learns that her daughter and her mother are still alive. The wait is endless.
“I’m sure she knows that I’m doing everything I can to save her, we’re very connected, I’m sure she feels that I’m with her“, confides Galit, in tears, before speaking directly to his daughter. “Noya I love you, I am with you. I will save you, I will come and get you. I will send people to look for you, Noya“.
