The Professional Football League (LFP) has integrated the end of the 5,000 spectator gauge from February 2 into the new version of its health protocol, updated on Tuesday February 1, which allows the total reopening of stadiums, as previously announced by the government.
“100% of the seats can be marketed”, confirms the document, which is in its eighth version since July. This modification was expected after the announcement, on January 20, by Prime Minister Jean Castex of the end of wearing a mask outside and gauges from February 2.
The government had restored on January 3 a gauge of 5,000 spectators for major outdoor events, in order to stem the spread of Covid-19. Marseille-Angers, Friday February 4, will be the first Ligue 1 meeting affected by this lifting of restrictions.
The new protocol also allows the reopening of parking lots intended for visiting supporters, but with compulsory physical distancing until February 15 inclusive. However, if the space allocated to visitors in the stadiums does not allow respect for the distance, because it is too small, the club visited retains the right to refuse their arrival, until February 15.
