On October 23, 2015, a coach accident left 43 victims in Puisseguin (Gironde). Six years after to the day, a tribute ceremony took place, in the presence of relatives of the victims, and François Hollande, President of the Republic at the time of the facts.
Six years ago to the day, on October 23, 2015, a driver lost control of his truck, and his trailer hit an oncoming bus. Both vehicles quickly caught fire. 43 people died. In the town of Puisseguin, in Gironde, place of the tragedy, a ceremony was held in the presence of relatives of the victims. The emotion is still very strong. François Hollande, President of the Republic at the time of the events, was also there.
The examining magistrate dismissed Friday, October 22. According to the latter, only the driver can be implicated, but he is deceased. An incomprehensible decision for many survivors and relatives. In 2017, the investigation revealed an unlicensed gas tank hanging on the truck. “The judge says that the speed is the cause of the accident, it is a fault of no one, human.
