At the opening of the festival, this Saturday August 5, the Nice DJ Boris Way made the crowds dance. The little darling of the moment, author of the remix of Running Up That Hill of Kate Bush, flagship song of season 4 of Stranger Things, a book a very “Love house” set with bass that beats.

Playing between land and sea in front of an overexcited public, Kungs, could not have dreamed of better. Lhe DJ from Toulon delivered a sensational show. Last March, the 25-year-old Toulonnais released his second album titled Club Azure. “It’s a tribute to the south of France, it’s a tribute to Toulon, where I grew up. I wanted to make a positive, sunny and unifying album”, he explains in an interview with France 3.

After two canceled editions, due to Covid, the electronic Beaches ticket office was stormed. At the beginning of June, the “afters” were completely “sold-out” and the fill rate was 70%. “After two years of Covid, this is the first summer where we are free”, rejoices a spectator.

It should also be noted that 30% of purchases were devoted to 3-day passes. This demonstrates a real enthusiasm for the festival but also a desire to participate 100% in the party. “The craze is very strong, people want to find the Electronic Beaches, to dance and express themselves”, notes Benoît Gely, the co-organizer of the festival.

So to fully satisfy the clubbers, the programmers have invited more than sixty renowned artists from all over the world. Among them, Damso, Martin Garrix, Charlotte de Witte and Paul Kalkbrenner.

This fifteenth edition of the Cannes Electronic Beaches ends in style this Sunday, August 7 with, in particular, a giant set by David Guetta.
