In Montreal, Jean-Drapeau Park will be the gathering place that will experience the longest period of darkness during the eclipse on April 8.
We are talking about a duration of 1 minute 26 seconds, compared to 31 seconds at Jarry Park. Parc Jean-Drapeau is therefore organizing a free event for the occasion, with experts from the Planetarium and a distribution of glasses.
The different regions on the path of the eclipse are also starting to organize events: there will be an observation session in the parking lot of the Saint-Georges crossroads, in Saint-Georges de Beauce and in front of the church of Saint-Pierre -de-la-rivière-du-sud, in Montmagny.
