A magnitude 4.1 earthquake rocked the Abitibi and surrounding areas on Tuesday evening.

The earthquake was felt around 6:22 p.m. in the cities of Malartic and Val-d’Or, Earthquakes Canada said on Twitter.
No damage or injury has been reported for the moment in connection with the seismic event which took place at a depth of 10 kilometers underground, the organization said.
