It was a 23-yard field goal from Cameron Dicker with just under two minutes left in the game that lifted the Pennsylvania club to 5-0.

The Cardinals (2-3) then got the chance to tie the game, but Matt Ammendola missed a 43-yard kick.

It was Jalen Hurts who scored the Eagles’ two touchdowns, crossing twice with his legs the small distance that separated him from the paying zone. Dicker also had a 42-yard field goal in the third quarter.

From bad to worse for the champions

At SoFi Stadium, the Los Angeles Rams went down 22-10 against the Dallas Cowboys.

It was the second straight loss and third loss in five games for the defending Super Bowl champions. This time, the Rams (2-3) were unable to score points in the final 39 minutes of the game. They were also limited to one touchdown, a very long 75-yard major from wide receiver Cooper Kupp.

For the Cowboys (4-1), quarterback Cooper Rush earned his fourth win in as many starts since Dak Prescott’s thumb injury. In his duel of the day, he completed 10 of his 16 passes for 102 yards. Tony Pollard collected the lone offensive touchdown for the Boys, via a 57-yard run.

The Texas team also crossed the goal line in the first moments of the game, when defensive lineman DeMarcus Lawrence returned a loose fly ball from 19 yards.

Rolling for the 49ers

At Bank of America Stadium, the San Francisco 49ers earned a convincing second straight win by beating the Carolina Panthers 37-15.

The “Niners” defense stood out by giving their rivals only one touchdown. She also helped score when Emmanuel Moseley scored a major on a 41-yard interception return.

Offensively, 49ers quarterback (3-2) Jimmy Garoppolo threw two six-point passes. Running backs Jeff Wilson Jr. and Tevin Coleman also acted up as they crossed the goal line.

It was Christian McCaffrey who managed the only touchdown for the Panthers (1-4).
