Four years after the events, we could well be heading towards the end of the Tessa affair. The individual who allegedly knocked down the young girl with his car and did not stop would have been arrested.
Her name was Tessa. She was 17 years old. His body was found by the side of a road. She had been killed by a driver who had fled. Finally identified, he confessed on Thursday June 22. It’s a relief for the girl’s family. Four years of investigation had yielded no results. However, ten days ago, a call for witnesses was launched by the victim’s family. Things are finally picking up speed.
A young man arrested
Two days after this call for witnesses, a person contacted the gendarmerie services and was able to provide sufficiently precise elements which could justify the placement in police custody of an individual. The man confessed. He is now 24 years old and already convicted of a traffic offence. He was a neighbor of the girl. The residents are angry. Tessa’s family is calling for calm. The arrested young man has been remanded in custody and faces seven years in prison.
