The bus driver, who fell on the morning of Friday January 12 in a ravine in Levens (Alpes-Maritimes), north of Nice, was driving under the influence of narcotics, reports France Bleu Azur. The driver, aged around 30, tested positive for cocaine and cannabis.

As soon as his state of health permits, the driver will be taken into custody for unintentional injuries. The latter has a history since he has already driven under the influence of alcohol.

The vehicle fell around ten meters and found itself lying on the traffic lanes of the Chemins de fer de Provence company, in the town of Levens. There were three people on board: the driver and two 14-year-old teenagers, both of whom were injured.
